Background

About
It fascinates me that something that is so easy to learn and so beneficial, with a history in many cultures, is all but lost to us today. We don’t understand energy and energy healing and therefore doubt our ability to heal ourselves and each other in this way.
My professional background is in allied health and scientific research. I bring experience in a caring profession and the field of scientific research to energy work; it is here that I find my niche. We may not understand how energy healing modalities such as Reiki work, but there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that they do work. It is a joyful experience exploring how this can be the case.
Discovering the healing energies of Reiki has been daunting but exciting for me. As the ancient philosopher, Augustine of Hippo, argued "miracles do not happen in contradiction to nature, but only in contradiction to that which is known to us in nature." Not enough is known to us about the nature of energy, but I am keen to know more. On the way, I revel in the discovery of a world that I did not know existed.
It is my mission to share my discoveries with clients and students, so that as many people as possible can benefit from the miracle of shared energy.
