Before you apply please note these important points:
To qualify for Reiki Australia membership, applicants must have been trained and initiated in person, in the physical presence of their initiating Masters. Online Reiki training will not be accepted for professional membership.
Reiki Certificates must be hand signed and dated by teaching Master [Master's name legible].
Provide a copy of each Reiki training certificate certified on the front face by an appropriately authorised person in your State. [Ie. JP, Com Dec, Pharmacist etc]. Please check for any special arrangements in your state if Covid restrictions apply.
Provide a record of your lineage [names of the Masters given to you by your Master Teacher].
Current First Aid Certificate.

An email upon application will be sent to you which includes a supplementary form. This will need to be fully completed and signed. Membership is only valid after approval, especially for the purpose of gaining Insurance.
$40 non-refundable fee applies to new applications.
Application time is 6 weeks, so please send all documents within that time to ensure your application doesn’t expire and a new fee payable.
Definitions of the Reiki Australia Membership Categories:
For anyone trained in Reiki:
• Associate Member: Non-professional, non-practitioner category, i.e. is a Reiki volunteer, or uses Reiki for themselves, friends and family. All members in this category have completed any / all levels of Reiki training in person, and received all initiations / attunements in person.
Suitable for those interested in professional membership:
• Reiki Practitioner: entry level professional member, must hold valid First Aid certificate, attain valid Professional Indemnity insurance [after full approval and when membership number is provided]. During the first year of membership [before 1st renewal date], provide 10 treatment logs. A template form is provided after you join and no information identifying your clients is needed.
• Reiki Master/Teacher: Requires Professional Indemnity insurance, First Aid and is focused on teaching practice to the public. • Combined Reiki Practitioner & Master/Teacher: entry level professional member, must hold valid First Aid certificate, attain valid Professional Indemnity insurance [after full approval and when membership number is provided] and in first year of membership provide 10 treatment logs [due at annual renewal date].
Additional professional membership options [subject to requirements, please enquire]: • Accredited Reiki Treatment Practitioner [ARTP]: This membership category recognises a professional member of Reiki Australia for adhering to a higher standard of practice, who has provided treatment logs over 12 months, who holds current Professional Indemnity insurance and a current first aid certificate and CPR; completion of Unit 1 of Professional Development for Reiki Treatment is required for ARTP membership, unless the member is qualified and currently working in another Health Training Package modality.
• Combined [ARTP] and Master/Teacher: professional member recognised for higher standard of practice, current Professional Indemnity insurance, first aid certificate and CPR, who has provided treatment logs over 12 months; completion of Unit 1 of Professional Development for Reiki Treatment unless the member is qualified and currently working in another Health Training Package modality.
